Apple is expected to announce three new iPad variants in Q2 2017. According to KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will launch a new 10.5-inch display model in addition to the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Although Kuo had predicted the imminent release of a 10.5-inch display model, 9to5Mac added that the Cupertino-based company is yet to decide on the display size. He said that Apple considers 10.5-inch as an ideal display for various industries such as education, technology, and startups.
The main attraction of the rumored 10.5-inch iPad is the bezel-less design. Moreover, the iPad will not feature a Home button as in the currently available models. Meanwhile, Kuo reveals that the 9.7-inch variant will be a budget friendly. However, the alleged 10-inch model will be priced between budget and premium segments.
Kuo further added that Apple iPad is currently facing a severe decline in sales. Hence, the rumored 10.5-inch display is expected to reduce the margin by 10 percent.
In the meantime, a report published on Macotakara states that the Apple iPad will have a 10.9-inch display and will bear the same dimensions as the 9.7-inch variant.
