Samsung Galaxy S7 expected to get better with Android 7.0 Nougat update from January 17

Samsung is expected to push Android Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 starting from January 17. In December 2016, the company ended the official Android Nougat beta for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones. However, the company has revealed that the first iteration of the final update will be pushed out in January.

In early January 2017, Samsung started to seed Android Nougat to a small segment of Galaxy S7 units. Moreover, the company started to soak test the update.

Meanwhile, a screenshot has been leaked on the web, which reveals the fact that the Android Nougat update will be available by the end of January. It also states the model number as G935F.

Upon dissecting the information from the leaked screenshot, we can infer that the roll-out process for Samsung Galaxy S7 edge will start from January 17 onwards. However, we wonder why the update has not been pushed to Samsung Galaxy S7 handset around the same time.

If the update is made available to Galaxy S7 edge then the same should also be available to Galaxy S7 as well. We don’t see any reason for the delay. As of this writing, we don’t have any information as to whether the update will be rolled out in India. We have to wait and watch.
