Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 surfaced on US FCC with 4000mAh battery

Just when Xiaomi is gearing up to launch Redmi Note 4 in India, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has surfaced through the US FCC. According to The Leaker, the Redmi Note 5 will be integrated with a 4000mAh fast charging battery. Since the phone has passed the FCC, you can expect an imminent launch of the new handset since the phone has passed the standards set by the US FCC.

Talking about specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protected display alongside Snapdragon 652 processor. The rumored pixel density of 401PPI will work out perfect for reading purposes.


Under the hood, the handset will offer 4GB RAM coupled with both 32GB and 64GB internal storage. However, there are unconfirmed reports that Xiaomi will unveil the smartphone integrated with Helio x25 processor. However, the Helio variant will be limited to select markets.


The rear camera will bear a 16MP sensor, while the front-facing shooter will be equipped with an 8MP sensor. The phone will accompany a 4000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. Hence, you will be able to quickly charge the device.

2The main highlight of Redmi Note 5 is the addition of Android 7.1 Nougat on top of MIUI 9. However, you have to wait for some more time since Xiaomi has not officially started the beta launch of MIUI 9. The phone provides support for 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS including USB Type-C port. Moreover, the upcoming handset will ship with an enhanced fingerprint sensor.

When it comes to price, the Redmi Note 5 will be available at $175 for the 32GB storage variant. For the 64GB model, you will have to pay around $200.

Expected to be available in Gold, Silver, and Black variants, the Redmi Note 5 will be available in China in Q2 2017 with expected availability in other markets by the end of 2017. Going by the trend, we expect the launch of Redmi Note 5 in India around January 2018.
