Sprint rolls out Nexus 6P January security update

US-based telecom provider Sprint has rolled out January security update for Nexus 6P. With build version N4F261, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat based update integrates security patches for the month of January. Moreover, the update bumps the Android security patch level to January 5.

You should note that the update has just started to roll out. Hence, it will take some time before the automated OTA update notification appears on the handset. If you don’t have any patience, you can manually navigate to the Settings menu inside your smartphone.

Huawei Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protected display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and pixel density of 518PPI. Under the hood, the Nexus 6P is equipped with Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 430 graphics, 3GB RAM, up to 128GB internal storage loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

On the optics, the Nexus 6P offers 12.3MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture alongside 8MP front-facing snapper paired with f/2.4 aperture. The handset gets the necessary power from the 3450mAh battery with fast charging support.
