Moto Z Play in Europe will most likely receive Android Nougat update by the end of January. Meanwhile, the German wing of Motorola has revealed on the official Twitter account that the Moto X Play will also receive Android Nougat update by the end of January.
Although Moto Z and Moto Z Force got the required Android Nougat update, the Moto Z Play never got a chance to experience Nougat as of today. We expect tat Moto handsets based in Germany will most likely receive Android Nougat update by the end of January.
Like in the past, the unlocked phones will get updates followed by handsets purchased through mobile carriers. Based on the available reports, January will be a hectic month for the Motorola since you can expect Android Nougat for Moto G4 as well.
If you are located in Canada and purchased Moto Z Play from Koodo Mobile, the Android Nougat update will be available on March 4. This news was revealed by the carrier on the official website.
We don’t have information as to which version of Android Nougat will be pushed to Moto Z Play and other handsets. However, we expect Android 7.0 followed by an OTA update for Android 7.1 Nougat.
