We have seen Android Nougat updates only for smartphones. Why not tablets? We asked this query long time back. It now looks like our wish is coming to reality. According to reports, Sony is expected to roll out Android Nougat update for Sony’s Xperia Z5/Z4 Tablet and Z3+ series devices within the next few days because of certification by the wireless authority.
We expect the release of the update by the end of January because the update has been certified by PTCRB, which is a wireless device certification forum led by North American mobile operators. Interestingly, the upcoming update will be named as version 32.3.A.0.372 instead of 32.2.A.5.11.
That said, we don’t have any information about when the update will be rolled out. However, with the latest bits getting the required certifications, there is a possibility that the update will be available via OTA within the next few weeks.
If you have access to Sony Xperia Z5/Z4 Tablet including Z3+, then you should verify the existence of the update once in every two days.
