Apple is expected to release iPhone 8 on September 8, 2017, in a grand way because the company is celebrating its 10th anniversary of iPhone launch. If rumors are to be believed, the iPhone 8 will feature an all-glass body with advanced wireless charging functionalities. Moreover, the upcoming handset will also offer an enhanced water and dust resistant features.
According to The Investor, the iPhone 8 will be integrated with an IP68 rating. Hence, you will be able to immerse the phone for up to 30 minutes in up to 1.5 meters bucketful of water. If you compare with iPhone 7, the recently released phone features an IP67 rating.
The main difference is that the iPhone 7 provides protection up to 1 metre of water. Although the IP68 is a significant enhancement over the existing rating, you will not be able to swim with the phone.
In addition to dust and water resistant, the iPhone 8 or iPhone 2017 will be equipped with a bezel-less display. Based on reports, the Cupertino-based company will most likely eliminate the presence of physical home button. Recently, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus was released without the traditional headphone jack. You can also expect the addition of a fingerprint sensor below the display embedded with the 3D Touch technology.
Expected to ship with an all-glass design on top of a stainless steel frame, the iPhone 8 will provide support for wireless charging. That said, the upcoming iPhone 7 will be manufactured in such a way that it provides long-range wireless charging functionality. Hence, you need not have to place the handset on a charging station or close to it. You can keep the iPhone 8 in one room and charger in another room.
