Ever since Google released Pixel and Pixel XL, the smartphones have been marred with problems. According to a screenshot of an email conversation between a customer and the official Google Store Support team, the Pixel audio issue is related to hardware.
Recently, a post was created on Reddit, which garnered huge response among users who are facing the same issue. Moreover, there were reports that Google offered a refund to a customer who reported problems with the audio on the Pixel XL.
Apparently, a new email which surfaced on January 13 revealed the fact that Google is not offering refunds for Pixel smartphones with audio problems. However, they are willing to issue a replacement since the phone is under warranty.
The email was written by the official Google Support team clearly, states that the company is not offering refunds for the affected phones. Instead, they are offering support services. You will have to take the Pixel phone to the nearest service centre to fix the problem.
If you read this with the above information, you will understand that Google had done a complete U-turn by deviating from the previously claimed refund offer.
That said, we don’t have any information about which component of the hardware is affected by audio. Does it require a motherboard replacement? Are you using the phone? If yes, did you faced the issue? Please post your views regarding the Google Pixel audio issues here.
