Micromax Vdeo 5 (Q4220) with 5.5-inch display expected to hit Indian market soon

Micromax Vdeo 5 (Q4220) with a 5.5-inch display is expected to hit the retail shelves in India within the next few weeks. However, the site hasn’t revealed the estimated launch date and pricing information.

According to a report published on Pricebaba, the Micromax Vdeo 5 features a polycarbonate body with brushed metallic finish on the rear side. Moreover, the Vdeo 5 offers rounded edges similar to that of Samsung Galaxy S7.

Micromax Vdeo 5 specifications

On the specifications front, the Micromax Vdeo 5 features a 5.5-inch HD Corning Gorilla Glass protected display with a pixel density of 267 PPI. Under the hood, the Vdeo 5 will be equipped with a quad-core processor, 1GB RAM coupled with 8GB expandable internal storage. You will be able to expand the storage up to 32GB via microSD card.

Going by the latest technological trends, the integration of 8GB storage is very less. Moreover, the addition of 1GB RAM will not be a deal breaker for gamers. Since there is no official confirmation, you should accept the facts only with a pinch of salt.

Micromax Vdeo 5 camera specs

While the rear camera integrated with Micromax Vdeo 5 will bear a 5MP sensor with LED Flash, the front-facing shooter will be embedded with a 2MP sensor. With support for HD video recording at 30fps, the rear camera provides support for autofocus, touch focus, self-timer, face detection, smile detection, HDR including face beauty.

Micromax Vdeo 5 features a 3000mAh battery

Expected to be powered by a 3000mAh battery, the Micromax Vdeo 5 is capable of delivering up to 9 hours of talk time and 270 hours of standby time. The dual-SIM phone will be loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow alongside 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 in addition to microUSB 2.0.

We wonder why Micromax hasn’t bundled the phone with Android 7.0 Nougat since it will increase sales to a large extent. We hope the company will deliver Android Nougat update via OTA. However, it is a remote possibility since the Android handsets loaded with stock UI will not be able to get new updates.

Recently, Pricebaba has reported that Micromax Vdeo 3 (Q4202) and Micromax Vdeo 4 (Q4251) has been listed on the official website of the company.
