Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G smartphones launched: Features, Specifications and Price

Samsung has launched Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G at Rs. 8490 and Rs. 6890 respectively. While the Galaxy J2 Ace features a front camera flash, the Galaxy J1 4G will be equipped with Super AMOLED display. You can buy Galaxy J2 Ace in Gold, Black and Silver color variants. However, you can buy Samsung Galaxy J1 4G in Gold, Black and White color options. The company has added white color in the Galaxy J1 4G.

Commenting on the development, Manu Sharma, Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India disclosed that the response to the affordable 4G J Series has been phenomenal with consumers appreciating the build quality. Moreover, with the India-centric features, the J series is a rich and compelling offering for their consumers. The company is excited to expand the portfolio with the launch of Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G in the under Rs. 10000 segment.

Dubbed to ship with Make for India features, the new Samsung handsets includes features such as Ultra Data Saving Mode, S bike mode, and S Power Planning. Furthermore, the S Secure and Turbo Speed technology are only available on Galaxy J2 Ace. With integrated support for 4G VoLTE, the Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G are fully compatible with Reliance Jio 4G.

On the specifications front, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace is equipped with a 5-inch display, 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and 8GB expandable internal memory. The phone comes with an 8MP rear camera alongside f/2.2 aperture and flash. On the front, you will find a 5MP sensor integrated with f/2.2 aperture and flash. You can extend the storage to up to 256GB.

Powered by a 2600mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace provides support for Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, USB 2.0, GPS and GLONASS. Moreover, the phone also includes standard sensors such as accelerometer and proximity loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Samsung Galaxy J1 4G, meanwhile, is equipped with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable internal memory. While the rear camera offers a 5MP sensor with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture, the front-facing snapper bears a 2MP sensor coupled with f/2.2 aperture. The phone gets power from the integrated 2050mAh battery.

Loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop, the smartphone provides support for Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, USB 2.0, GPS, and GLONASS including sensors such as accelerometer and proximity.

We wonder why Samsung has integrated Android Lollipop into a smartphone released in 2017. However, we expect the phone will be suitable for students and senior citizens.
