Xiaomi Mi 6 tipped to ship in three variants with Helio X30 and Snapdagon 835 processor

If rumours are to be believed, Xiaomi Mi 6 will be unveiled in three variants with the expected launch during the upcoming MWC 2017. While the budget-friendly model of the phone will be equipped with MediaTek processor, the other two premium models will feature Snapdragon processor.

Expected to be unveiled at MWC 2017, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to ship from April. According to GizChina, the Mi 6 will ship with Helio X30 and Snapdragon 835 processors.

On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will ship with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. However, the Mi 6 Pro will be infused with 6GB RAM paired with 256GB internal storage.

The main attraction of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 is the integration of a dual-rear camera sensor. However, we don’t have any information about the kind of sensors integrated with the handset.

During the recently concluded Geek Park Innovation conference in Beijing, Xiaomi VP Li Wanqiang had disclosed that the company would release a surprise product in March 2017. Hence, we can infer that it could be MWC 2017. With Xiaomi participating at the CES event for the fist time, the company is gearing up to make a new tradition by showcasing Mi 6 at the forthcoming MWC 2017.

Talking about the software segment, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 9. There are reports that the phone will be loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat. Moreover, the phone will be powered by a 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging via Quick Charge 4.0. The handset will also feature a physical home button with an integrated fingerprint scanner.

Expected to be available in Black, White, and Blue colour variants, the Xiaomi Mi 6 with MediaTek processor will be priced at CNY 1999 (Rs. 20000). However, the model with Snapdragon 835 processor will be priced at CNY 2499, which equates to Rs. 25000. Xiaomi will also launch a dual-edged curved display at CNY 2999, which is approximately Rs. 30000.
