Nokia P1 with Snapdragon 835 processor is expected to launch with Snapdragon 835 processor on February 26, 2017 at MWC 2017. Based on the available reports, Nokia is tipped to launch an Android-based P1 smartphone starting at $800 (Rs. 55000) for the 128GB internal storage variant.
According to a leak surfaced from Russian publication Worket via PhoneArena, the Nokia P1 with 256GB storage capacity will be priced at $950 (Rs. 65000).
Expected to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat, the Nokia P1 features a 5.3-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display. We don’t have any confirmation about the type of display panel. However, we expect either FHD or QHD resolution. The handset will feature a Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB RAM.
On the optics, the Nokia P1 will be equipped with a 22.6MP Zeiss-certified rear camera. Moreover, the phone will provide support for water and dust resistant capabilities through IP57 certification.
The upcoming Nokia P1 will most likely offer a 3500mAh battery with support for quick charging. As per reports, the phone will bear a fingerprint sensor on the rear with quick unlocking capabilities.
HMD Global has already mailed media invites for the forthcoming MWC 2017 event on February 26. In addition to Nokia P1, the company will also unveil a wide range of other Nokia smartphones as well.
Recently, HMD has officially launched Nokia 6 in China. However, we don’t have any information about when the handset will be available outside China. To recall, HMD Global holds exclusive license to manufacture and distribute Nokia branded smartphones for a period of 10 years.
