The Android 7.0 Nougat update roadmap for the budget smartphones manufactured by Huawei has been leaked. According to leaks sourced from Weibo, the Honor 6X, Honor Note 8, Huawei Nova, and Huawei G9 Plus are expected to receive the update throughout 2017.
Based on the available information, the Huawei Nova will be the first smartphone to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update in March. It will be followed by the Honor Note 8 and Huawei G9 Plus in April.
There are reports that the Honor 6X and the MediaPad M3 tablet will receive the Android Nougat update in May 2017. If you happen to receive the update, you will work with EUI 5.0.
After the announcement of EMUI 5.0 on the sidelines of the Mate 9 launch, the company had revealed the roadmap for Android 7.0 Nougat. However, Huawei revealed that the Huawei Mate 8, Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Plus, Huawei P9 Lite, Huawei Nova, and Huawei Nova Plus will receive the update by the end of Q1 2017.
According to Huawei, the refreshed EMUI 5.0 provides several improvements and enhancements in the design and security. The company claims that you will be able to activate 90 percent of the functions in two or three clicks. The new UI has been integrated with machines learning, which makes sure that resources are optimized automatically. Furthermore, the phone loaded with the new UI will be able to improve the efficiency of the battery to a large extent.
If rumors are to be believed, the company is gearing up to unveil the update for other select budget handsets. As of this writing, we don’t have any information as to which markets the company will roll out the update.
