Nokia is on a smartphone spree with a plethora of new Android smartphones expected to be released during the upcoming MWC 2017. The latest development is that a massive 18.4-inch Nokia-branded tablet has been spotted on GFXBench.
According to sources, a large Nokia tablet has surfaced on a recent GFXBench listing. If you wonder if this tablet is a small 10-1-inch, then you are wrong. The rumored Nokia tablet will feature a massive 18.4-inch display.
Based on the information available from GFXBench listing, we can see the integration of a massive 18.4-inch display coupled with a resolution of 2650×1440 pixels. Like all other previously announced Nokia handsets, the rumored tablet will be loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. The listing states that the tablet will have Android FIH edition.
Likely to be equipped with a Snapdragon 835 processor running at 2.2GHz, the Nokia tablet will have Adreno 540 graphics. The tablet will have 4GB RAM paired with 64GB of storage. However, the GFXBench listing only states 3.6GB RAM and 52GB storage. We expect the Android platform occupies a sizable chunk of memory and space.
On the optics, the rear camera will have 12MP sensor alongside equal capacity front-facing shooter. Both cameras will have the capability to capture 4K media content. In addition to the 4G LTE connectivity, the upcoming Nokia tablet will be equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC.
Since the surfaced specifications are only revealed by benchmarking site, you should only accept this with a pinch of salt. The tablet could have surfaced on GFXBench. In reality, it is hard to manufacture a tablet with 18.4-inch display. Even a laptop offers up to 17-inch display, although a 15.6-inch display is widely available.
If Nokia’s upcoming 18.4-inch tablet becomes a reality, you can also expect an external keyboard which will be bundled with the tablet. You should also be prepared to carry a tablet which weighs more than 2 kg. Anyway, let’s wait and see. We will keep you updated. Stay tuned with NetAns.
