Nearly 250000 units of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sold out like hot cakes within 10 minutes

Xiaomi has released the sales figures for the first flash sale of its flagship Redmi Note 4. In a statement released to the press, Xiaomi revealed that nearly 250,000 units of Redmi Note 4 were sold out in 10 minutes.

According to the company, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 managed to scale three times and five times quantity sold in its first flash sale when compared to the Redmi 3S and Redmi Note 3.

Commenting on the results of the flash sale, Manu Jain, India Head, Xiaomi disclosed that they are thankful to all the customers for making the first sale of Redmi Note 4 a great success. The entire Mi India team are extremely ambitious about the flagship handset. Moreover, it gives him immense joy to start the year with such acceptance and love for Redmi Note 4.

Jain added that the immense love for the product motivates us to work harder to make more quantities available for our Mi Fans and build a beautiful Redmi Note 4 story in India. We are excited as we take the first step in 2017 and look forward to achieving many more milestones this year, adds Jain.

On the specifications segment, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage powered by a 4100mAh battery. While the rear camera is equipped with a 13MP sensor with dual-LED flash, the front-facing shooter bears a 5MP sensor. With support for 4G VoLTE, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 runs on MIUI 8 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

While the 2GB RAM/32GB storage model costs Rs. 9999, the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 10999. If you would like to buy 4GB RAM alongside 64GB storage, you need to shell out Rs. 12999. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is available in Gold, Grey, and Silver color variants including a new Matte Black color expected to hit retail stores in February.
