HTC 10 Europe OTA roll out of Android Nougat resumes

HTC has resumed the roll out of Android Nougat update in Europe for the flagship HTC 10 smartphone. The company had halted the roll out a few days back citing bugs. As of this writing, the update has hit the shores of the UK. We expect the update to become available in other markets within the next few days.

With software version 2.41.401.3, the latest Android Nougat update brings the latest security patches for Android. Moreover, the update provides few system-related improvements and enhancements.

The total weight of the latest update measures 1.17GB. Hence, you should activate Wi-Fi on your HTC 10 handset before starting the download process. You should also capture a backup of all your data from your existing phone. Even though the update doesn’t erase any date, it’s better for you to backup important media files for safety purposes.

The latest Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC 10 has been rolled out in phased manner. Hence, if you are unable to view the update notification, you have to wait for some time till the OTA update is available. Alternatively, you can manually check for the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon.
