LG is expected to launch new smartwatches under LG Watch series during the upcoming MWC 2017. The recently concluded CES 2017 was pretty much silent on Android Wearable segment. Hence, we expect MWC to be the target for the latest wearables.
You can expect the launch of new Android Wear smartwatches within the next three months because Google is planning to launch Android Wear 2.0 on February 9. It looks like Google has already handed over the bits to the OEM manufacturers with the condition that the watches with new platform should not be released until February 10.
According to industry analysts, Google and LG will unveil new smartwatches powered by Android Wear 2.0 even before the MWC 2017. We had already reported the imminent launch of LG Watch Sport and the LG Watch Style.
The popular tipster Evan Blass took to Twitter and revealed that the LG Watch Style would be available in both Silver and Rose Gold color variants. In his tweet, Blass has posted four different images of LG smartwatches in both rear and front angles.
We can clearly visualize the LG logo on the rear side. While the Silver model displays the clock, the Rose Gold variant displays flower type object on the front face. The latest image looks identical to that of the Rose Gold variant surfaced via TechnoBuffalo.
On the specifications front, the LG Watch Style features a 1.2-inch circular P-OLED display with a resolution of 360×360 pixels, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage alongside 240mAh battery. With support for water-resistant capabilities through IP67, the LG Watch Style will not offer features such as NFC, GPS, 4G LTE and heart rate sensor.
We wonder why Blass hasn’t shared the images of the LG Watch Sport. We are sure he will have few images. Please share your views about the LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport.
