Samsung has started to roll out January security update for the Galaxy Note 5 smartphone. Interestingly, the update comes with Samsung Pay app. The inclusion of the digital payments app signals the imminent arrival of the digital payments app to India in the brink of Demonetisation drive by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The latest update brings in January security update as firmware version N920GUBU3BQA3. With a weight of 320MB, the update also includes bug fixes, enhancements, and other improvements.
Regarding Samsung Pay, you can expect the launch in India in Q1 2017 since the rumor mills are full of buzz regarding the arrival of the digital payments app. With the availability of Samsung Pay for the premium Samsung Galaxy Note 5, we expect the launch of the payments app to other Galaxy handsets.
Before downloading the update, you should activate Wi-Fi. Moreover, if you are unable to view the update notification message, you should wait for some more time since the latest update is rolled out in a phased manner. Alternatively, you can manually verify the existence of an update by tapping the relevant icon.
