Asus ZenFone 3S Max India launch: Features, Highlights, Specifications and Price

Asus ZenFone 3S Max

Asus is scheduled to launch ZenFone 3S Max in India on January 7. Dubbed with the model number ZC521TL, the company will live stream the launch event from 12 PM IST. In addition to the announcement of features and specifications, Asus will also reveal the price, availability date. Moreover, we don’t have any information about whether the company will launch the Asus ZenFone 3S Max in both offline and online retail platforms.

Designed using an aluminium metal body, the Asus ZenFone 3S Max (ZC521TL) features a fingerprint sensor integrated into the physical home button. According to Asus, the phone is capable of unlocking within 0.5 seconds including the ability to provide support for up to five fingers.

The Asus ZenFone 3S Max (ZC521TL) ships pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat based ZenUI 3.0. The phone borrows all the features of Android Nougat such as multi-window mode including Asus specific ZenMotion Touch Gesture, Bluelight Filter, and GameGenie.

Coming to specifications front, the Asus ZenFone 3S Max features a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D contoured edge display, MediaTek MT6750 processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB expandable internal storage.

The highlight of the phone is that it provides support for reverse charging functionality. Hence, you will be able to make use of the phone as a power bank to charge other smartphones and devices.

While the rear camera bears a 13MP 5P Largan lens sensor with f/2.0 aperture, the handset comes with an 8MP front-facing shooter. The rear camera provides support for dual-LED real-tone flash and several modes such as super resolution, low-light, panoramic, backlight HDR, and beautification.

Based on the specifications, we expect Asus to fix the price below Rs. 12000. Since the phone offers HD display, a pricing of Rs. 8999 will be a deal breaker for the company.

Asus ZenFone 3S Max launched at Rs. 14999

Asus has launched ZenFone 3S Max featuring a metal body and a 5.2-inch HD display at Rs. 14999. Powered by a MediaTek MT6750T processor, the ZenFone 3S Max features 3GB RAM. As mentioned above, the highlight of the phone is the 5000mAh battery that can deliver up to 38 days of standby time on 4G.

While the rear camera features a 13MP sensor, the front-facing snapper offers an 8MP sensor coupled with an 85-degree wide angle lens. The attraction of the phone is the integration of ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The phone is an excellent alternative for users who would like to work with Android Nougat without going for costly Google Pixel and Pixel XL. We still believe that the cost is on a higher side but you have to compromise for Android Nougat.
