Nokia P1 Android Nougat phone rumor: Features, Specifications, and Price

Nokia P1 is expected to be designed using a combination of metal and glass. Moreover, the rumored handset will be integrated with Snapdragon 835 processor. Expected to be announced at the upcoming MWC 2017, the Finland-based company is also gearing up to launch Nokia D1C. According to reports, the Nokia P1 will also carry a dedicated camera shutter.

Previously, there were reports that Samsung will infuse Snapdragon 835 processor with the rumored Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. However, Samsung has reportedly postponed the announcement at the MWC 2017 due to non-completion of the final testing process at extreme temperatures.

When it comes to the design, the Nokia P1 will have sharp edges with a combination of metal and glass. There are reports that the handset will offer a ceramic back design identical to Xiaomi Mi Mix. Furthermore, the Nokia P1 will also accompany a fingerprint scanner embedded into the physical home button.

On the specifications front, the Nokia P1 will flaunt a 5.3-inch IGZO Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protected display, Snapdragon 835 processor alongside IP55 or IP57 certification. Nokia will most likely offer the smartphone in both 128GB and 256GB internal storage variants.

Talking about the optics, the Nokia P1 will feature a 22.6MP Carl Zeiss lens rear camera with a dedicated shutter key. You can expect the integration of Z-Launcher UI on top of Android 7.0 Nougat including a 3500mAh battery.

Regarding the price, the Nokia P1 with 128GB storage will be available for $800. When it comes to the 256GB model, you will have to pay $950.

Even though Nokia P1 will be showcased during the MWC 2017, you can expect the availability only in April. Hence, you can expect the sale of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Nokia P1 at the same time.
