Google is scheduled to unveil Android Wear 2.0 alongside several smartwatches. LG is gearing up to launch the much-awaited LG Watch Sport after the launch of the new wearable platform. Interestingly, PhoneArena has exclusive access to a document obtained from AT&T.
The leaked papers sourced from AT&T reveal a prototype diagram of the display setup of the upcoming LG Watch Sport. However, the diagram showcases how the new wearable will look like when displayed in a retail store.
Based on the available information, the US-based mobile carrier AT&T will be selling the new LG Watch Sport by the end fo this week.However, we don’t have any exact timeframe as to when the carrier will launch the handsets.
As previously reported, Google is scheduled to launch two new LG smartwatches, which showcases Android Wear 2.0 either today or on February 9. We expect the launch of the new Wearable on February 8 since Google has a habit of launching new gadgets on Wednesdays.
On the specifications front, the LG Watch Sport features a 1.38-inch circular display, 4G LTE support including a heart rate monitor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Regarding pricing, you can expect a cost of around $350.
The LG Watch Style, which will be the smaller sibling will feature a 1.2-inch display but will not provide support for 4G LTE, GPS and heart rate monitor. You can expect the wearable to cost $250.
It remains to be seen as to when the LG Watch Sport and Android Wear 2.0 will launch in India. However, you will have to wait until Q3 2017 for the launch of the new smartwatches in India.
