Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge on T-Mobile gets better with Android security update

T-Mobile has started to roll out a new Android security update to Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones. Hence, if you have access to any one of the handset and are using T-Mobile as the mobile carrier, you will get the required update.

With firmware version G920TUVS5EQA2 and G925TUVS5EQA2, the security update measures 30MB in weight. The latest update provides bug fixes for the month of December and January.

The official update page states that you will be able to install the update within 10 minutes. The message also reveals the fact that you will not be able to work with the phone during the installation process. This includes the ability to perform call, deliver SMS and text 911.

You will view three options. You can either choose to install the update later or overnight. If you don’t have any major work with your smartphone, you can hit Install Now button. We recommend you to install the update immediately so that your phone will be protected.

That said, we don’t have any information about the changes included with the update. The update is mainly related to security but there is no data about any performance improvements.

As always, you need to activate Wi-Fi to install the update. Moreover, you can manually install the update in case if you are unable to view the update message notification. If you are unable to receive the update, you should wait for more time since the update is rolled out in phases.
