iPhone 8 expected to ship with an Iris scanner, confirms rumors

iPhone 8

Apple is expected to launch iPhone 8 on September 8. Based on rumors, we can confirm the launch of three iPhones in 2017 with support for wireless charging alongside glass rear panel.

If the latest emerging rumors are to be believed, the upcoming iPhone 8 will also ship with an Iris scanner identical to that of the ill-fated Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Interestingly, one of the smartphones from the three models will flaunt an OLED display supplied by Samsung.

Initially integrated into Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the Iris scanner enables you to unlock the smartphone with your eyes. The front panel will have a sensor similar to the front camera. However, since the Galaxy Note 7 was abandoned the Iris scanner became out of context for tech enthusiasts.

We also saw the emergence of few third-party companies who integrated Iris scanner into their smartphones. There are rumors that Samsung is gearing up to integrate Iris scanner in the upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ expected to showcase in the MWC 2017.

Meanwhile, the third-party companies have already started to deliver the required parts and components for the next generation iPhone 8. The supply of parts will be completed before the end of Q1 2017. You can expect more rumors to emerge regarding the forthcoming iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
