Sony has rolled out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xperia Z5, Z3+, and Z4 tablet. Previously, the company was forced to abandon the update process due to widespread complaints from both beta testers and early adopters. The company aborted the update delivery after Sony Xperia Z5 customers reported issues with audio playback.
With the build number 32.3.A.0.376, the new update will be pushed to all the eligible Xperia smartphones over the next few days. However, if you are interested in receiving the update quickly, you can manually download the relevant file and flash the handsets.
If you are not aware, Android 7.0 Nougat ships with improved notifications, enhanced doze mode and split-screen multitasking. Moreover, the new Android platform also adds support for quick switch, which enables you to swap between two open apps. You can perform this step by double tapping the overview button.
That said, Android Nougat has an overall market share of only 1% among the overall Android population. We hope more manufacturers will adopt smartphones with Android Nougat by the end of December 2017.
