Sony Pikachu with 21MP camera and Android Nougat spotted on GFXBench

If rumors are to be believed, a smartphone tagged with the name Sony Pikachu has surfaced with a 21MP camera coupled with Android Nougat on GFXBench. The name sounds interesting and we expect the handset will ship pre-installed with Pokemon Go. The GFXBench site also mentions the specifications of the rumored handset.

Based on the GFXBench listing, Sony Pikachu features a 5-inch HD display with 5-finger gesture support, Helio P20 processor, Mali-T880 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.

While the rear camera is equipped with a 21MP autofocus LED Flash sensor, the front-facing shooter offers an 8MP sensor. In addition to autofocus, the rear camera also provides support for face detection, flash, HDR photo and touch focus. The phone will also provide support for all standard connectivity features and sensors.

Even though there is no official announcement from the company about the launch, we expect Sony Pikachu to launch during the upcoming MWC 2017. If rumors are true, Sony Pikachu might be the previously leaked Sony G3112 smartphone.
