If the rumors are to be believed, Huawei is expected to showcase Honor 8 Pro at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC) in Barcelona. The highlight of the Honor 8 Pro is the addition of a dual-camera mechanism.
Touted as a premium variant of the currently available Honor 8, the rumored Honor 8 Pro will be most likely the Honor V9 in China. Recently, the Honor V9 surfaced in TENAA, which is the Chinese telecom certification site.
On the specifications front, the Honor 8 Pro features a 5.7-inch QHD display with a massive resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The handset will be available in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants paired with 64GB and 128GB internal storage variants.
Under the hood, the upcoming Honor 8 Pro will be integrated with a MediaTek Helio octa-core processor with a clock speed of 2.4GHz. You can expect a good backup time since the handset will carry a 3900mAh capacity battery.
While the rear camera will be equipped with a dual 12MP sensor, the front-facing snapper will be infused with an 8MP camera. Although we don’t have the details of the specifications, we expect the integration of Leica sensor on the rear side. If Huawei decides to ship Honor 8 Pro with Leica sensor, then you can expect a color sensor alongside a dedicated black and white to enhance the quality of the image.
Like in the past, Huawei Honor 8 Pro will also be available in several color variants. We will continue to monitor the developments and provide updates. We hope to get more information about the pricing and availability date by next week. Stay tuned with NetAns.
