Xiaomi has entered the shores of Pakistan through a strategic distribution partnership between Smart Link Technologies and Daraz.pk. As part of the agreement, Xiaomi smartphones and accessories will be available in Pakistan through the e-commerce retailer.
Dubbed as the first official entry in the Pakistan, Jack Yung, Sales Director of South Asia, Xiaomi disclosed that Mi Max, Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A including Mi Band 2 will be available for purchase in Pakistan.
While Xiaomi Mi Max is already available with the online store, the Redmi 4A and Redmi Note 4 will be available from February 25 respectively. However, the Mi Band 2 will be available within the next few days.
We established contact with Daraz customer support over live chat and the executive confirmed that the Mi Band 2 will hit the store within few days. However, he didn’t gave any estimated time frame.
As part of the deal, Daraz will be responsible for speedy and safe deliveries of products to customers. However, Smart Link Technologies will provide comprehensive warranty coverage with attractive conditions. Meanwhile, Zong will provide exciting 4G packages for all customers who purchase Xiaomi handsets. The package includes 6GB of high-speed data for 6 months.
Commenting on the development, Bjarke Mikkelsen, CEO, Daraz revealed that the company in association with Smart Link is proud to work as an exclusive online partner for phones and products offered by Xiaomi. He said that Xiaomi is one the most innovative smartphone brand with an excellent Android ecosystem. Mikkelsen added that the new partnership will result in multiple benefits to both the Daraz and Xiaomi with opportunities for cross-pollination and convergence.
On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A features a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage powered by a 3120mAh battery. While the rear camera is equipped with a 13MP sensor, the front-facing snapper offers 5MP sensor. In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Redmi 4A provides support for 3G and Wi-Fi alongside dual-SIM slot. The phone is available for PKR 13900.
Xiaomi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625/Helio X20 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing shooter. Designed with premium metal body alongside anodised high-gloss aluminium lines, the Redmi Note 4 is equipped with a 4100mAh high-density battery. The phone also includes a fingerprint scanner on the rear coupled with IR blaster. The handset is available for PKR 20400.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi Max features a 6.44-inch display, Snapdragon 650/652 processor powered by a 4850mAh battery. The phone provides battery support for up to 16 hours of high-speed Wi-Fi videos including streaming. With a weight of 203 grams, the phone measures 7.5mm thickness.
