Apple iOS 10.2.1 has indeed reduced unexpected iPhone shutdowns by 80%

Apple has revealed that the iOS 10.2.1 has significantly reduced unexpected and abnormal iPhone shutdown problem reported by few users. According to company sources, the rate of unexpected shutdowns has been reduced by up to 80 percent on iPhone 6s handsets and 70 percent on iPhone 6 models.

If your iPhone has shut down suddenly, then you will have to power on the charging ports. As of this writing, nearly 50 percent of iOS devices has been upgraded to iOS 10.2.1.

In a statement released to the press, Apple disclosed that with iOS 10.2.1, the company had made significant enhancements to decrease the incidents related to unexpected shutdowns.

The official spokesperson revealed to TechCrunch that the new update has been infused onto 50 percent of the iOS devices. Moreover, the company has received diagnostic data from users who have upgraded to their iPhones with the new iOS 10.2.1.

The company said that there is a reduction of 80 percent in iPhone 6s and 70 percent in iPhone 6. The end-result is that nearly 70 percent of the iPhone 6 users are not currently experiencing the error.

Although only a few people are currently facing the problem, Apple feels that the issues should have to be addressed in a proper way. The problem related to unexpected shutdown has not completely eliminated.

The company has provided a capability to restart the iPhone without being connected to power after an unexpected shutdown. The company has directed users who still face problems with iPhone to AppleCare or establish contact with Apple support.
