Meizu is expected to launch mCharge 4.0 at a press event at MWC 2017 on February 28 in Barcelona. The main slogan of the event is Faster Thank Ever. Event though we don’t have any information about the expected launch of new handsets, there are reports that the company will likely unveil a super fast mCharge 4.0 technology.
According to industry analysts, the rumor would be 99.99 percent true because of the presence of a big lightning sign on the invitation. The big attraction of mCharge 4.0 technology is the capability to charge a smartphone from 0 percent to 100 percent in 45 minutes. Right now, you have to wait for one hour and 15 minutes for a smartphone with USB Type-C technology to charge completely.
Based on the rumors, the mCharge 4.0 will make use of a 9V/4A charger (36W). Hence, the charger will be able to work at lower 9V voltage but at higher current capacity. Moreover, you will not experience any abnormal heating during the charging process.
Since Meizu has already launched Meizu Pro 6 Plus, M5, M5 Note, and M5s, you will have to wait for few months for the launch of Meizu Pro 7 with mCharge 4.0 support. However, we expect the company to announce the launch of the new charging technology at MWC 2017.
