Lenovo will unveil Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus on February 26 at MWC 2017. However, we have seen several rumors in the form of leaked renders and live images. According to reports, a fresh set of leaks surfaced on the web which reveals not only the design but also the benchmarking listing of Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus.
According to AndroidPure, the images of the Moto G5 were spotted on OLX’s Brazilian site with the handset, product box, battery, charger, and earphones. Since the charger is in white color, you can expect the addition of fast charging technology. Moreover, the battery is separately placed, which signals the presence of a removable back cover. As of this writing, the OLX listing has been removed.
On the specifications front, the Moto G5 as spotted on GFXBench, features a 5-inch FHD display, 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Adreno 505 graphics loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. While the 2GB RAM model is equipped with 16GB storage, the 3GB RAM model chips with 32GB storage.
The leaked specifications are similar to that of the recent leak by K-Tronix based in Spain. The only difference is with regard to the camera sensor. According to K-Tronix, the rear camera sensor offers a 13MP rear sensor. However, GFXBench listing mentions the presence of 12MP.
The Moto G5 Plus, on the other hand, is equipped with a 5.2-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 625 processor powered by a 3000mAh battery with TurboPower charging. The clock speed of the processor is a bit high at 2GHz when compared to 1.4GHz speed in the Moto G5. Moreover, the Moto G5 will offer a low-end Snapdragon processor.
Since there is no official confirmation, you should accept the above facts with a spoon of salt. However, you need not have to wait longer since the smartphones will launch on February 26 at MWC 2017.
