Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ loaded with Android Nougat gets WiFi certification

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ loaded with Android Nougat has been certified by Wi-Fi Alliance. Since the handset has received the Wi-Fi tag, you can expect the imminent arrival of the phone.

With certification ID WFA60782, the device with the product and model number SM-G928A has received Wi-Fi certification. Moreover, the certificate states that the phone belongs to Mobile Access Point category with Android 7 Nougat.

Recently, Samsung Turkey had shared a comprehensive Android Nougat roadmap, which signaled the information that the Galaxy S6 edge+ will most likely get the Nougat update before the end of March 2017. If Turkey receives the update, you can expect the launch of the update in other markets as well within the next few days.

On the specifications front, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos 7420 processor, Mali-T760MP8 graphics processor, 4GB RAM, 32/64GB expandable internal storage, 16MP rear sensor, 5MP front-facing snapper loaded with a 3000mAh battery.

Capable of charging wirelessly, the handset provides support for S-Voice natural language commands and dictation. Moreover, the rear sensor provides support for OIS, autofocus, and LED flash. The display is equipped with a 518PPI, which is massive for a smartphone. The handset was made available with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, upgradeable to Android 6.01.1 Marshmallow.
