Huawei has rolled out Android Nougat beta program for the Honor 6X smartphone in the United States. Honor USA took to Twitter and shared the information that if you would like to test drive EMUI 5.0 on Honor 6X, you need to sign up for the beta testing program. Moreover, you should email the IMEI number to the e-mail ID mentioned in the tweet. We wonder why the company has publicly given the email address on Twitter.

The tweet also includes an image with the caption “Beta Testers Recruiting” with EMUI 5.0 on the top of it. On the right side, you will find a message that the new UI is on the way and prompts you to join the beta testing program.
If you are interested in joining the program, you should share the IMEI number with the company. Otherwise, you will not be eligible to join the program. Moreover, customers with access to Honor 6X smartphone will only be able to download the update.
On the specifications front, the Honor 6X is equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display, Kirin 655 processor, Mali-T830MP2 graphics, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB expandable internal storage loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
While the rear camera offers a dual 12MP and 2MP sensors with support for PDAF and LED Flash, the front-facing snapper features an 8MP sensor with FHD video recording capability. With support for a rear fingerprint sensor, the Honor 6X is powered by a 3340mAh battery.
