BlackBerry has launched KEYone smartphone at MWC 2017 in Barcelona. Within days of the announcement, a retailer based in India, OnlyMobiles.com has listed BlackBerry KEYone on its official website. In addition to the listing, the retailer has exposed the complete specifications and the retail price of the handset.
Listed at Rs. 39999 with a 12 month manufacturer Warranty, the BlackBerry KEYone features a 4.5-inch FHD Corning Gorilla Glass display, Snapdragon 625 processor, Adreno 506 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable internal storage powered by a 3505mAh battery.
While the rear camera is equipped with a 12MP Sony IMX378 Exmor RS Sensor, the front-facing shooter offers an 8MP CMOS sensor. Interestingly, OnlyMobiles has also revealed the contents of the product box, which includes USB Type C Cable, USB Power Adapter, Earphone, and User Manual. The addition of earphones is an added advantage for audio freaks.
Manufactured using Aluminium Alloy & Polycarbonate, the BlackBerry KEYone accommodates single Nano SIM card with support on-screen, white LED indicator, smart keyboard, call waiting and forwarding.
The advantage of the phone is that it is integrated with Android 7.1 Nougat. If the rumors of the phone landing in India are true, the KEYone will be the first handset to ship with Android 7.1 in India.
When it comes to the pricing, BlackBerry always disappoints. We wonder why a 4.5-inch smartphone is priced at a massive Rs. 39999, when you can buy premium handsets under Rs. 20000. If BlackBerry would like to tap the emerging markets, then it should sell the handset at under Rs. 20000.
Although you can buy BlackBerry KEYone at Rs. 39999, you can also opt to buy at monthly EMI at Rs. 1940 per month. We have established contact with OnlyMobiles to find out the exact availability date.
