Honda has launched the next generation BS-IV Activa 4G motorcycle at Rs. 50730. Touted as the fourth generation upgrade of its warhorse Activa, the BS-IV Activa 4G is manufactured to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles as per the latest emission norms.
Powered by an 110-cc engine, the Activa 4G is the largest selling brand in the two-wheeler segment at Rs. 50730, which is the ex-showroom price in New Delhi. According to the company, the Active 4G motorcycle features an automated headlamp for enhanced visibility. The main highlight of the newly launched Activa is the integration of a mobile charging socket coupled with a combi-brake system with equalizer technology.
Commenting on the launch, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice-president for sales and marketing disclosed that nearly 1.5 crore families are using the Activa. Hence, it the first product in the scooter category to scale to the top position in India. Moreover, the vehicle was tagged as world number 1 in 2016.
The launch of Honda BS-IV Activa 4G will set new benchmarks in the auto industry because the 110cc automated scooters have become the fastest growing vehicles in the Indian market. As of this writing, Honda has already sold 15 million Activas and enjoys a commendable 58 percent market share in the automated scooter segment.
