Huawei Mate 9 was facing few issues related to Google Voice. The company has started to roll out a new update to the Mate 9 smartphone for users in the United States. With build number MHA-L29C567B167, the latest update brings in enhancements including fixing a bug related to Google Voice.
If you install the update, you will not be able to find a bug when you make use of the Google Voice with SIM card of a particular carrier. The update also optimized the home screen display of the drawer. Huawei also added a set of new group messaging related improvements and features.
The latest update has added a new feature using which you will be able to display contact names in group messages for a rich experience. Even though the update will not delete any personal data, Huawei has recommended users to capture a backup of all the important files before proceeding to download the update. After the completion of the upgrade process, the phone will restart. However, it will take nearly five minutes.
You will view a message notification as soon as the update is available for your handset. The page has been introduced in phases, and hence it will take few days for it to arrive. Alternatively, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping the Settings icon.
