HP has launched Chromebook x360 11 G1 Education Edition in partnership with Google. Commenting on the launch, the search-engine giant disclosed via a blog post that the company is celebrating the success of implementation of Chromebooks in schools located in Sweden. The schools have adopted Chromebooks to make a difference in the lives of students and educators.
According to Google, the newly launched HP Chromebook will be equipped with an 11.6-inch HD touch display paired with a 360-degree hinge, which can be rotatable depending upon the requirements of the users. Hence, you can make use of the laptop as both laptop and tablet in a convertible mode. The Chromebook also ships with USB Type-C charging support, the stylus including an outward-facing snapper.
If HP infuses the Chrome OS, then you can expect the integration of Google Play Store, which enables users to download and install Android apps similar to that of the smartphones. It remains to be seen as to how many apps provide support for large display laptops. It will be challenging for app developers to design and deploy apps in such a way to suit all kind of devices.
Based on a report published by GSMArena, the HP Chromebook x360 11 G1 Education Edition is designed and manufactured based on the similar offering from HP. However, the laptop offered by HP shipped with Windows 10 Pro. If the rumors are to be believed, you can expect the integration of an Intel Celeron N3350 or Pentium N4200 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
As of writing this, HP hasn’t announced the price of the laptop. The new Chromebook will most likely hit the retail shelves by the middle of April.
