After a lull, Asus has rolled out Android Nougat update for the Asus Zenfone 3 smartphone. In January 2017, the company had launched the update for the handset. However, Asus suspended the rollout of the update due to the eruption of bugs. The product team has fixed the errors and finally pushed the update tagged with version number 14.2015.1701.8 dated March 8.
The update will be available for Zenfone 3 smartphone with ZE552KL and ZE520KL models. If you install the update, you will be able to experience the cool features of the Android 7.0 Nougat.
Some of the other significant changes included in the update are the addition of improved touch performance, Asus Share Link removal and integration of bundled notifications switch. The update also brings in VoLTE and VoWiFi technologies, which are required to experience super fast 4G connectivity.
According to Asus, your Zenfone 3 handset should have at least 1.5GB of free space before you download and install the update. Moreover, you should make sure to charge the phone to 100 percent before proceeding to update.
Meanwhile, it will take at least one week for your handset to receive the update notification. Alternatively, you can also manually verify the presence of the update by navigating to Setting | About | System Update.
