BlackBerry Aurora officially launched in Indonesia with Android 7.0 Nougat

BlackBerry Aurora has been officially released in Indonesia loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat in black, silver and gold color options. With a license of design, manufacture, market and sell BlackBerry-branded smartphones, the smartphone has been released by BB Merah Putih.

Commenting on the launch, Stanly Widjaja, Vice President, BB Merah Putih disclosed that the BlackBerry Aurora is the first handset manufactured in Indonesia. However, it is the first handset to ship with dual-SIM functionality.

On the specifications front, the BlackBerry Aurora features a 5.5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425 processor, 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB internal storage. While the rear camera features a 13MP sensor, the front-facing snapper bears an 8MP sensor with support for LED Flash video recording. A 3000mAh battery supplies adequate backup for the phone.

With a weight of 178 grams and thickness of 8.5mm, the BlackBerry Aurora is loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. With a price tag of $260 (IDR 3,499,000), the handset is available for pre-order exclusively via e-commerce stores in Indonesia.

You should note that the final date for the sale of the phone is March 12. The phone will ship after that to all customers who have placed orders. Hence, if you would like to purchase the Aurora smartphone, you should place an order before March 12.
