Samsung has rolled out February security update for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. With build number T705CZCU1CQB3, the update is being pushed via OTA. Hence, it will take some time for the update notification to appear on your phone. The latest update also provides fixes to several bugs including new features, improvements, and enhancements.
By default, the OTA notification should appear automatically. In case if you are not prepared to wait, you need to tap Settings option and select About devices manually. You need to select System updates from the displayed screen. If the update is available, you will view the update notification with a download button.
You should select the option to install the available monthly security patch. Since the size of the download file will be huge, you need to establish connectivity with Wi-Fi before proceeding to download.
Regarding the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features an 8.4-inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos 5 Octa processor, 3GB RAM, 16GB expandable internal storage with an ability to expand up to 128GB.
The tablet was initially released with Android 4.4 KitKat but the company rolled out an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Samsung is also planning to push Android Nougat to select International variants of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users.
