T-Mobile HTC One M9 tipped to get Android Nougat update

T-Mobile has confirmed that Android Nougat update for the HTC One M9 smartphone is currently under testing. If you are using HTC One M9 under T-Mobile, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of the latest Android platform. With the mobile provider making a revelation about the testing of the update, we can expect the public release of the stable build within the next few weeks.

According to sources, T-Mobile will likely push the update for the general consumption within the next two to three weeks for the HTC One M9 handset. Like in the past, the update will be pushed in a phased manner. Hence, it will take few days for your One M9 phone to receive the update notification.

Regarding specifications, the HTC One M9 features a 5-inch FHD Super LCD3 Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected display, Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 430 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable (up to 256GB) internal storage, 20MP rear camera, 4MP front-facing snapper loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

You will work with HTC Sense 7.0 user interface, which is identical to that of Xiaomi MIUI. A 2840mAh battery supplies power to the handset. If you are in the US under T-Mobile and work with HTC One M9, you should keep a tab on a message notification, which will most likely hit your display within the next few days.

To recall, the unlocked model of the HTC One M9 handset received Android Nougat update in the US in December. The update was made available in Europe in January, which was followed by the rollout of the update in Mainland Europe, Turkey, and South Africa. In the meantime, HTC is gearing up to roll out OTA update with several bug fixes to the phone for users in the Nordic regions.

As usual, make sure to charge the handset to full capacity before proceeding to download and install the update. The size of the update will be higher, and hence the update process will take more time such as over 45 minutes to one hour depending upon your Internet connectivity.
