AT&T has rolled out February security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge handsets via OTA. If you own any of these smartphones on AT&T, you will be eligible to receive the update.
In addition to the security update for the month of February, the latest patch also provides improvements related to performance. With build number MMB29M.G900AUCS4DQB1, the Samsung Galaxy S5 update measures 184MB in weight. It mainly consists of the security features and minor bug fixes.
Regarding Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, the latest update is introduced with build number MMB29M.N915AUCS2DPK4 with a size of 107MB, which is ess than the Galaxy S5. The US-based mobile service provider has informed that the updates to both the smartphones have started to rollout from March 10 over the air.
If you have access to the handsets, then the update should be available. You will view message notification on your handset. Alternatively, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings | About device | System updates option.
You should also make sure to establish connectivity with WiFi to download the update because of the file size. Moreover, you need to completely charge the smartphone before proceeding to download and install the update.
