Samsung Galaxy S7 And S7 Edge Gets Better With Android Nougat In Canada

A bunch of mobile service providers based in Canada has started to push Android Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones. It includes Virgin Mobile, Bell, SaskTel, Freedom Mobile, EastLink and Wind Mobile. Interestingly, Rogers is also gearing up to roll out Android Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge from March 20.

The Android Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 for the model number SM-G930W8 has been tagged G930W8VLU2BQB6 as the firmware version. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge with model number SM-G935W8 is filed under G935W8VLU2BQB6 as the build number version.

With a total weight of 1.3GB, the Android Nougat update is expected to hit your smartphones within the next few days in the form of a message notification. If you are unable to view any notification, you should manually verify the existence of the update. It will take few days for the update to visible on your phone depending on the region and locality.

Based on the massive size of the update file, you should make use of Wi-Fi to download the update. That said, you should also fully charge the phone before proceeding to install the update.
