T-Mobile has pushed January security patch for HTC 10 handset. With build number 2.41.531.3, the update for the HTC 10 phone measures 650MB in size. In addition to significant enhancements and bug fixes for the issues reported by developers, the January security patch for HTC 10 also includes improvements and optimizations to the system. Hence, the phone will work smoothly without any presence of virus or malware.
The file size of over 600MB is not justified for a monthly security update. However, we have to accept the fact that the manufacturer had worked hard to provide new features and fix bugs based on the reports gathered directly and indirectly.
Nowadays, companies fetch data in the background when the customer works with the handset. It seems that the product team has taken all aspects into consideration to provide an update with not only features but also bug fixes.
To recall, T-Mobile pushed Android Nougat update on January 4. However, the Sprint HTC 10 received the bits only on February 20. Hence, the company could have incorporated all the updates from January and introduced as the March update.
While other manufacturers have already released Android 7.1.1 Nougat update, the T-Mobile HTC 10 users will have to wait for more time since they are getting only Android 7 update along with the latest January security update. The unlocked users of HTC 10 got the January security patch one month back. With the big push of the update to locked HTC 10 users, T-Mobile has equalized the difference.
