AT&T has rolled out March security update for the premium LG G5 and LG V10 smartphones. If you make use of these two smartphones on AT&T network, you will be eligible to receive the update.
With software version H82020i, the March security patch for AT&T LG G5 includes performance enhancements and bug fixes.
However, the update for LG V10 comes under with the version H90021z. In addition to the security patch, the update also provides bug fixes. You should note that LG V10 is getting Android Marshmallow based security updates.
AT&T is rolling out the update via OTA in a phased manner. Hence, it will take some time for the update to reflect on your smartphone. If you are eligible, you will view a notification message. You have to proceed as per the instructions. If you are unable to resist, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings | About device | System updates option.
The main point to note is that you should establish connectivity with WiFi before downloading the update. Moreover, you should copy all your media content to your laptop or PC for safety purposes. Finally, you should charge the handset to full capacity. You should also make sure to free up 4GB of disk space for uninterrupted installation.
