Verizon has rolled out an update to improve the performance of Wi-Fi for the users of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on its network. Hence, if you are using Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Verizon, you will be eligible to receive an update, which is being rolled out OTA.
With build number G935VVRU4BQA4, the latest OTA update includes several enhancements and improvements including bug fixes. If you install the update, you will be able to experience improved Wi-Fi performance. The notification message clearly states the features included with the update with special reference to WiFi.
You should note that the latest update is based on Android Nougat. To recall, Verizon has already refreshed the Galaxy S7 Edge running on its network to Android Nougat.
If the update is available on your phone, you will view a message notification. You need to click on it to download and install the update. However, you need to ensure that you have activated Wi-Fi and disabled mobile data. Moreover, you should also charge the phone completely and free up 2GB of disk space for a smooth installation of the update.
As you can see from the update notification message, you will not be able to use the Galaxy S7 Edge for 15 minutes. After the update has been installed, your phone will restart. You can work with the phone after the home dashboard is displayed.
If the update is not available on your phone, you will have to wait for few more days. You can also manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings | About device | System updates.
