With the rumor mills filled with news about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi6, the latest news is that the much-awaited Mi6 will have a Plus variant. The specifications of Xiaomi Mi6 Plus model has been leaked via slashleaks.
On the specifications front, the rumored Xiaomi Mi6 Plus will feature a 5.7-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 6GB RAM alongside 64GB/128GB UFS 2.0 internal storage. The addition of UFS 2.0 storage is a big bonus since it will enhance the read and write speeds. Like in Xiaomi Mi5, you can also expect thin-bezels surrounding the display.
While the rear camera will offer a 12MP Sony IMX362 dual-camera sensor, the front-facing snapper will bear an 8MP ultrapixel sensor. While the Xiaomi Mi6 will carry MIUI 8 based on Android 6 Marshmallow, the Xiaomi Mi6 Plus variant will ship with MIUI 8 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
We can also see a noticeable change in the battery specification. While Xiaomi Mi6 will be infused with a 3200mAh battery, the Xiaomi Mi6 Plus model will ship with a 4500mAh battery.
The leaked document doesn’t reveal the color, dimension, and weight of the handset. The Plus variant will not ship with the 32GB default internal storage since the phone is aimed for premium users and gamers. With Xiaomi Mi6 Plus, you will be able to experience the latest features of Android Nougat.
Based on the available information, the Xiaomi Mi6 will launch on April 11 or 16 in China. We can confirm the launch of Mi6 but could not say anything about the Mi6 Plus because there is no official revelation. Since the specifications have been leaked from a credible source, we can expect the arrival of Xiaomi Mi6 Plus.
There is also a possibility for the company to stretch the launch event to the end of April because of the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 with Snapdragon 835 processor. There were reports that Snapdragon 835 was specific to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ until the handset is made available for purchase in retail stores.
We will continue to monitor the developments surrounding Xiaomi Mi6 and Xiaomi Mi6 Plus. Stay tuned with NetAns.
