Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Passes Through P3DN In Indonesia

With only two days left for the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, the upcoming smartphones have been certified by Indonesia’s P3DN. According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and its big brother has passed through the official website of Indonesia’s P3DN on March 27. The release sheet also bears a certificate number – 84 / ILMATE / DCL / 3/2017.

While the Galaxy S8 carries a model number SM-G950FD, the Galaxy S8+ is tagged with the model number SM-G955FD. Moreover, the papers also disclose that the upcoming handsets will ship with 4G FDD-LTE support. The DCL for the Galaxy S8 is tagged as 31 percent, while for Galaxy S8+ is pegged at 30.30 percent.

With the certification of Indonesia-based P3DN, Samsung has bagged the rights for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ to release in Asian countries after the official launch in the US on March 29. We expect Samsung to conduct a separate launch event in India by the first week of May to push the newly launched Galaxy S8.

On the specifications front, the Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED bezel-less display, and the Galaxy S8+ will flaunt a 6.2-inch display. Loaded with Android Nougat, the Galaxy S8 will be integrated with a 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB and 128GB internal storage.

You can also expect a 12MP rear camera alongside 8MP front-facing snapper. Samsung is planning to release the handsets in Gold, Arctic Silver, Orchid Grey, Violet, Coral Blue and Black Sky color variants.

When it comes to new features, the S8 series will offer a face and fingerprint scanner including support for DeX Station and wireless charging capabilities. The handset will ship with AKG-powered earphones, which will provide enhanced audio capabilities.
