HTC U Battery Specification Leaked On Twitter Hinting Imminent Launch

HTC is scheduled to launch the premium HTC U smartphone. Dubbed as HTC Ocean, the handset will hit the retail shelves under the name HTC U. There have been talks on the town for past few months about the rumored launch of the HTC U handset.

Just when Samsung Galaxy S8 has officially launched, a popular tipster @LlabTooFeR took to Twitter and revealed a crucial information revealing the exact battery specifications.

According to his tweet, the upcoming HTC U will ship with a 3000mAh battery, which is same as the Galaxy S8 battery capacity. He also mentions HTC Ocean moniker in his tweet. Hence, we can confirm that HTC U in indeed HTC Ocean.

On the specifications front, the HTC U will feature a 5.5-inch WQHD (1400 x 2560 pixels) display, Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage loaded with brand new Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

While the rear camera will bear a 12MP sensor, the front-facing shooter will ship with a 126MP advanced sensor. There are reports that HTC has borrowed the camera sensor manufactured by Sony to integrate with the HTC U handset.

As of writing this, we don’t have any information about the release date of the HTC U. However, we can expect the release within the next few months since the leak emerges from @LlabTooFeR, which is a credible source. Based on the available information, we expect the launch of HTC U by the end of April or the first week of May.
