Verizon has rolled out Android 7.0 Nougat update for the flagship HTC 10 smartphone. With build number 2.41.605.12, the Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC 10 is being rolled out over the air. Hence, it will take few days for the update to become available on your device.
According to Verizon, the Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC 10 enhances the mobile experience of users. The update introduces new battery-smart features coupled with multitasking improvements. In addition to regular Android Nougat features, the update also includes the latest security bug fixes and updates.
If you install the update, you will be able to work with new features of Android 7.0 Nougat such as split-screen, refreshed notification, quick reply including the ability to easily modify parameters from the Settings page.
Moreover, the update also offers an enhanced data saving feature when compared to the previous counterpart. You will be able to deactivate data consumption in the background for select apps, which will drastically improve the overall backup time.
Recently, we had reported that the US-based mobile carrier is gearing up to roll out the update after a tweet from HTC’s Mo Versi confirmed the development. With the official announcement of the rollout, it looks like Versi’s word has lived up to the expectations.
If you have access to HTC 10 handset with Verizon as your provider, you should verify the presence of an update notification. If you are unable to view a message notification, you should wait for few more days since the update is rolled out in a phased manner. Alternatively, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping the Settings | About phone | System updates.
You should note that the size of the Android 7.0 Nougat update will be very large. Hence, you should activate Wi-Fi and disable mobile data. Moreover, you should completely charge the phone to 100 percent before proceeding to hit the update notification button.
