Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 Gets April Security Update in Europe

Samsung has rolled out April security update for the Galaxy J3 2016 handset. However, the update is available only for customers based in Europe. Like all other previous updates, the April security update is also pushed via OTA. Hence, it will take few days for the update to hit the devices depending upon the regions.

With build number J320FXXU0AQC3, the April security update for Galaxy J3 2016 provides regular bug fixes in addition to device enhancements. If you install the update, you will find improved performance when compared to previous updates.

If you are eligible for the update, you will be able to view a message notification on display. If you are unable to view the update, it will take few days for the bits to hit your device. If you don’t have patience, you can manually verify the presence of the update by tapping Settings | About device | System updates.

You should not hit the download button if you view the update notification. You should make sure to charge the handset up to 70 percent and also establish connectivity with a Wi-Fi network.

Even though the update has been pushed on April 1, we have a doubt regarding whether the update includes latest updates. The product team would have started the development process of the update in March itself and named as April security to gain mileage ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S8 sale.
